Job summary

South West Healthcare's Emergency Department seeks a dedicated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to lead and oversee clinical standards and patient care in Warrnambool. The role includes stepping in as Nurse Unit Manager when needed and managing a skilled ED team in a dynamic setting.

Applicants should have five+ years post-registration ED nursing experience, be ready to mentor others, and hold or be willing to pursue a postgraduate qualification in Critical Care or Clinical Leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' post-registration nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Demonstrated leadership of a multidisciplinary team with patient safety focus.
• Experience in clinical decision-making and coordinating patient flow in fast-paced environments.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and mentoring others.
• Strong communication skills, engaging patients, families and colleagues in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical standards and patient care delivery in ED.
• Lead and support a multidisciplinary team and manage patient flow.
• Step in as Nurse Unit Manager when required and take leadership responsibilities.
