Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Clinical Nursing Unit Manager to lead the Emergency Department at Blacktown Hospital. You will provide clinical leadership, manage operations and drive safe patient flow in a busy ED.

You will oversee staffing, performance development and quality improvements while working closely with senior clinicians and a multidisciplinary team. The role requires registration as a nurse with AHPRA and relevant emergency leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be working towards a post-registration qualification in emergency/critical care or nursing management, or have a minimum 5 year post registration experience in Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and supervise nursing staff, including performance development and professional development.
• Oversee day-to-day nursing operations, workforce allocation and environmental safety.
• Monitor patient access and flow, including transfer of care and Emergency Performance Targets.
