Job summary

Eclipse Security is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Technician to manage installation, programming and commissioning of Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems in Melbourne's commercial sector.

You will lead technical delivery from installation through to final handover, with strong emphasis on fault finding, IP networking and system integration across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience within electronic security industry.
• Strong commercial Access Control experience.
• Proven programming and commissioning capability.
• Strong CCTV/VMS experience.
• Intruder Alarm experience.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• Strong understanding of IP networking.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical outcomes.
• Ability to mentor less experienced technicians.

Electronic Security Technician - Commercial Systems

About the role

You'll work across a variety of medium to large commercial security projects throughout Melbourne, primarily in the south-eastern and eastern suburbs. This position will suit an experienced technician who is confident with programming, commissioning, fault finding and problem solving, and who can take ownership of the technical delivery of a security system from installation through to final handover.

Key responsibilities

Installation, programming and commissioning of complex Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems

Taking a lead technical role on medium to large commercial projects

System upgrades, expansions and migrations

Advanced fault finding and troubleshooting

About you

5+ years' experience within the electronic security industry

Strong commercial Access Control experience

Proven programming and commissioning capability

Strong CCTV/VMS experience

Intruder Alarm experience

Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical outcomes

Ability to assist and mentor less experienced technicians

Professional communication and customer service skills

Requirements

Current Victorian Private Security Licence

Current ACMA Cabling Registration

Current Construction White Card

Current Victorian Driver's Licence
