Job summary

Brave Security in Melbourne, VIC is seeking a Security Service Technician in aSenior/Autonomous field role to service CCTV, access control and alarms across a varied portfolio of owners corporations, retail and commercial sites.

You will work independently with a fully maintained vehicle and equipment, handle fault-finding and minor installs, and build strong client relationships while maintaining paperwork and site records.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and fault-finding electronic security systems including CCTV and access control.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage daily workload with minimal supervision.
• Current Victorian security registration and ACMA cabler status required.
• Must hold a Victorian driver's licence and right to work in Australia; police check required.

Responsibilities

• Independently servicing, maintaining and fault-finding electronic security systems—CCTV, access control, alarms, intercoms.
• Attend scheduled maintenance and reactive breakdowns across diverse sites.
• Diagnose faults efficiently and fix them right the first time.
• Handle minor installs, upgrades and reconfigurations.
• Be the face of the business on site, building trust with clients and agents.
• Maintain paperwork, job records and van stock to keep runs flowing.

Security Service Technician — Senior / Autonomous Field Role

If you're an experienced security technician who's tired of being micromanaged — this one's for you. We're looking for someone who can jump in the van, manage their own run, walk onto any site with confidence, and leave every customer better than they found them.

You'll service a genuinely varied portfolio — owners corporations, retail and commercial properties — so no two days look the same. One morning you're fault-finding an access control system in a CBD office; that afternoon you're sorting CCTV at a shopping strip. We'll give you the autonomy, the gear and the backing. You bring the skills, the standards and the drive.

What you'll be doing

• Independently servicing, maintaining and fault-finding electronic security systems — CCTV, access control, alarms, intercoms and the lot

What you'll bring

• Solid hands-on experience servicing and fault-finding electronic security systems

• A track record of working autonomously and managing your own day with minimal supervision

• Current Victorian security registration

• Registered cabler (ACMA) status

• A current Victorian driver's licence — and the right to work in Australia

• Happy to complete a National Police Check

Nice to have: a trade qualification in electrotechnology or electronics, experience across strata/retail/commercial, a good IT network knowledge and familiarity with brands like Hikvision, Inner Range, Gallagher, Bosch, Comelit, Aiphone, VMS systems.
