WA Country Health Service is recruiting a Technical Specialist to provide advanced expertise and support for complex electromedical equipment and healthcare technology systems. The role covers lifecycle management, from evaluation to replacement planning, with involvement in procurement, QA and safety initiatives.

Applicants should possess a Certificate or Associate Diploma in Electronics, strong clinical IT understanding, and willingness to travel regionally, including overnights.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Associate Diploma in Electronics or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of computer systems, networking, connected medical devices and their clinical use.
• Experience with repair, maintenance, installation and support of electromedical equipment.
• Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards, medical device regulations and risk management.
• Willingness to travel regionally, including overnight stays.
• On-call and after-hours duties may be required.

Responsabilités

• Provide advanced technical expertise, advice and training on electromedical equipment and healthcare technology systems.
• Oversee equipment lifecycle support: evaluation, installation, maintenance, optimisation and replacement planning.
• Contribute to procurement, standards development, quality assurance, risk management and service improvement activities.
• Travel within the region as required, including overnight stays.
