Responsibilities

• Assist with documentation, service records and reporting requirements.
• Maintain service records and spare parts tracking; update equipment documentation.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join the service team and provide technical support across a range of medical equipment and healthcare systems throughout Australia.

This role will be responsible for equipment installation, validation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and customer support. The successful candidate will also provide user training, technical guidance, and support to healthcare professionals while ensuring a high level of customer service and operational excellence.

This is a customer-facing role suited to a technically skilled individual who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and building strong relationships with healthcare customers.

The position will support customers across the Brisbane region, with the ideal candidate based locally or within surrounding areas. Some travel may be required to support customers across Northern NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform equipment installations, preventative maintenance, validations, servicing, and repairs of medical equipment and related systems.
• Provide technical support to customers via site visits, telephone, and email.
• Deliver user training, technical training, and product demonstrations to healthcare teams.
• Support troubleshooting activities and provide effective solutions to customer issues.
• Assist with equipment documentation, service records, and reporting requirements.
• Manage and maintain service documentation, equipment records, and spare parts tracking.
• Identify customer training requirements and provide recommendations.
• Maintain high standards of customer support and after-sales service.
• Assist with product issue reporting and follow internal quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement of service processes and technical documentation.

Skills Required:

• Trade Certificate, Technical Certificate or Diploma with strong hands on technical service experience.
• Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, modifying, or refurbishing technical equipment and systems.
• Electrical qualification (Restricted or Full Electrical Licence is a must).
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to travel within Queensland, Northern NSW.
• Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard hours when required.

Preferred:

• Experience with medical equipment, sterilisation equipment, or healthcare technology.
• Experience with surgical equipment, integration systems, or similar technical environments.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and experience with service management systems.
