Job summary

Hitachi Global Air Power in Australia is seeking an Electromechanical Controls Engineer reporting to the Product Development Manager. You will support new product development and IoT solutions across portable and stationary product lines, bringing technical expertise to the business.

You will create electrical and mechanical drawings with NX, supervise testing in Melbourne, and collaborate with Sales and Service teams. A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 7+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in an electrical engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of three-phase power systems, control circuit design and programming logic.
• Experience with CAD software (NX preferred).
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering activities related to new product development.
• Provide technical support to Sales and Service teams.
• Develop and support IoT applications and data management strategies.
• Create and maintain electrical and mechanical drawings using NX.
• Supervise electrical testing activities in Melbourne.
• Support branch electrical system upgrades.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Assist senior engineers on projects and travel as required.
