Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in electrical, mechatronics or similar
• Significant experience developing and commissioning complex materials handling systems
• Extensive experience with Rockwell Automation and Siemens platforms
• Experience with motion control solutions for highspeed positioning, tracking, coordinated motion
• Experience with product detection systems including code reading and vision applications
• Ideally SCADA and MES integration experience
• Ideally TUV Machine Safety certification
• Willingness to travel interstate and overseas (~30%)

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the Electrical build phase, Control Systems development, and commissioning of nominated projects and handover to end-user
• Liaising with company stakeholders and project teams
• Sourcing and trialling new technology and supplier opportunities
• Reviewing electrical and control compliance to specs
• Assisting with Electrical and Controls quotations
• Drive continuous improvement of Contech Engineering's supply standards and build efficiency
• Development of electrical schematics and control logic for projects
• Ensure adherence to key project milestones
• Work autonomously and as part of a team
