You will join Civil Fire’s electrical department consisting of 6 other electricians. Depending on the size of the job, you may work alone, or as part of a team.
We have sites all over the Sydney Metropolitan area – you will work at a different site each day, and may work at several sites in a day.
You will primarily be required to carry out repairs to, and installations of smoke alarms & emergency lighting. You may also be required to carry out repairs to fire detection systems (AS1670), mechanical air handling systems, portable firefighting equipment and fire doors.
You will develop compliance knowledge in accordance with the Building Code of Australia & Australian Standards, and may be required to complete inspections and make recommendations from time-to-time.
The successful applicant will be punctual & well presented, and will have good communication skills.
They will need to be capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Experience in the fire protection industry is preferred.
