Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU is seeking an experienced Electrician or Dry Fire Technician to service, test and maintain fire detection and alarm systems across commercial projects in New South Wales.

The role requires fault-finding, system knowledge and the ability to work independently with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Electrician and/or Dry Fire Technician.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with fire alarm systems, smoke detection, EWIS/BOWS and related equipment.
• Current White Card.
• Current driver's licence.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• NSW Electrical Licence (highly regarded).
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent qualification (preferred).
• FPA S or Fire Safety Assessor accreditation (advantageous).
• EWP, Cabling Licence or other relevant industry tickets (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Service, test and maintain fire detection and alarm systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to fire alarm, EWIS and associated systems.
• Install, commission and configure fire protection systems for commercial projects.
• Conduct inspections in accordance with Australian Standards and relevant regulations.
• Identify repair and upgrade requirements and assist with remedial recommendations.
• Complete service reports and required compliance documentation.
• Work closely with project and service teams to deliver quality outcomes.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship while following all safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service while working independently and within a team.
• Participate in overtime and on-call work when required.
