Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Underground Electricians to join our operations at Evolution Mining's Lake Cowal Underground Gold Mine in New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a long-term project with a respected mining contractor while supporting the reliability, safety and performance of a modern underground mining fleet and infrastructure.

• Australian-recognised Electrical Trade Qualification required
• Current Electrical Licence required
• Experience as an underground mining electrician preferred
• Experience with Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT or similar underground equipment highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on underground mining equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on mobile and fixed plant equipment
• Install, maintain and inspect underground electrical infrastructure
• Complete statutory inspections and testing per site requirements
• Troubleshoot electrical, automation and control systems
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report defects

Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Underground Electricians to join our operations at Evolution Mining's Lake Cowal Underground Gold Mine in New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a long-term project with a respected mining contractor while supporting the reliability, safety and performance of a modern underground mining fleet and infrastructure.

About the Role

As an Underground Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of underground electrical systems, mining equipment and infrastructure. You will play a critical role in ensuring equipment availability and supporting safe and productive mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on underground mining equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on mobile and fixed plant equipment
• Install, maintain and inspect underground electrical infrastructure
• Complete statutory inspections and testing in accordance with site requirements
• Troubleshoot electrical, automation and control systems
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Identify and report equipment defects and reliability improvement opportunities
• Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
• Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures
• Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Australian-recognised Electrical Trade Qualification
• Current Electrical Licence
• Previous experience as an underground mining electrician
• Experience maintaining underground mining equipment and infrastructure
• Experience with Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT or similar underground mining equipment highly regarded
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence
• Ability to work effectively within a high-performing team environment
• Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements
