Job summary

REDPATH MINING is seeking a Project Engineer for Lake Cowal to manage and coordinate engineering projects on site, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule and within budget. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams and liaise with stakeholders to drive project success.

The role requires a proactive, solutions-focused engineer with strong communication, risk management and reporting abilities, plus a current Australian Driver's Licence. On-site roster and long-term opportunities offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience delivering engineering projects in mining, heavy industry or infrastructure.
  • Strong PM and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet objectives.
  • Proficient in reporting, risk management and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver capital and operational projects across site.
  • Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets and resources.
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress and report performance against milestones.
  • Identify and manage risks, opportunities and change requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with site standards and engineering practices.
  • Prepare technical documentation and project deliverables.
  • Support procurement activities and contractor management.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and site safety compliance.

Responsibilities
About the Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating engineering projects while ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Planning, coordinating and delivering capital and operational projects across site.
  • Managing project scopes, schedules, budgets and resources.
  • Coordinating contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting on performance against key milestones.
  • Identifying and managing project risks, opportunities and change requirements.
  • Ensuring projects comply with site standards, statutory requirements and engineering best practices.
  • Preparing technical documentation, reports and project deliverables.
  • Supporting procurement activities, contract administration and contractor management.
  • Driving continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site safety requirements.

You are a proactive and solutions-focused engineering professional who enjoys working in a dynamic operational environment and building strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

To Be Successful, You Will Possess
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Mining or related discipline).
  • Previous experience delivering engineering projects within mining, resources, heavy industry or infrastructure environments.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and achieve project objectives.
  • Excellent communication, reporting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Sound understanding of risk management and engineering standards.
  • Proficiency with project planning and project management tools.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
