Job summary

InfraBuild Mesh is seeking a hands-on Electrical Maintenance Technician for our Newcastle Mesh Facility in Mayfield, NSW. You will deliver high-quality electrical maintenance across site operations, ensuring equipment reliability and driving continuous improvement in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting.

You will hold an Electrical Supervision Licence and Cert III in Electrotechnology, with post-trade experience in PLCs and AC drives.

Qualifications

• Electrical Supervision Licence required.
• Cert III in Electrotechnology required.
• Experience with PLCs and AC drives essential.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting across industrial electrical/control systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventative and breakdown maintenance to maximise equipment uptime and reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, instrumentation and control faults efficiently.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimise fixed plant performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and site requirements.
• Provide hands-on support with front-line problem-solving investigations and initiatives.
• This is a permanent full-time shift-work position with rotating 12-hour shifts (6pm Sun – 6pm Fri).

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and based at our Newcastle Mesh Facilityin Mayfield, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical maintenance services across site operations, ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

What you will be doing:

• Execute preventative and breakdown maintenance to maximise equipment uptime and reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, instrumentation and control faults efficiently.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimise fixed plant performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and site requirements.
• Provide hands-on support with front-line problem-solving investigations and initiatives
• This is a permanent full-time shift-work position, made up of rotating 12-hour shifts. The roster covers from 6pm Sunday through to Friday 6pm.

Earn $49.95 per hour (plus shift allowance where applicable)

What you will bring:

• Electrical Supervision (ES) Licence
• Cert III in Electrotechnology
• Post-trade experience in PLC's and AC drives
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across industrial electrical and control systems
• Industrial electrical maintenance and breakdown experience
• Experience in automation and control systems
