Job summary

InfraBuild Mesh is seeking an appropriately qualified Electrical Technician for a permanent full-time role at the Newcastle Mesh Facility in Mayfield. You will perform preventative and breakdown maintenance across site operations, ensuring equipment reliability and supporting continuous improvement in a heavy industrial environment.

The role involves 12-hour rotating shifts from 6pm Sunday to 6pm Friday, with pay at $49.95 per hour plus applicable shift allowances.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification with required licence.
• Experience in PLCs, AC drives and industrial control systems.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across electrical and control systems.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and based at our Newcastle Mesh Facility in Mayfield, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical maintenance services across site operations, ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

What you will be doing:

• Execute preventative and breakdown maintenance to maximise equipment uptime and reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, instrumentation and control faults efficiently.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimise fixed plant performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and site requirements.
• Provide hands‑on support with front‑line problem‑solving investigations and initiatives
• This is a permanent full‑time shift‑work position, made up of rotating 12‑hour shifts. The roster covers from 6pm Sunday through to Friday 6pm.

Earn $49.95 per hour (plus shift allowance where applicable)

What you will bring:

• Electrical Supervision (ES) Licence
• Cert III in Electrotechnology
• Post‑trade experience in PLC's and AC drives
• Strong fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills across industrial electrical and control systems
• Industrial electrical maintenance and breakdown experience
• Experience in automation and control systems
