Job summary

Coates Kingston branch is seeking an Electrician to service and repair the electrical components of equipment, ensuring gear is ready, fit, and safe for hire. You will work with the mechanical team to ensure electrical readiness of our hire fleet.

Your day includes service and maintenance of electrical plant, calibrations, fault finding, keeping customers updated, and assisting with spare parts stock. A Mechanical Trade Certificate with the proper licence and forklift/EWP tickets are desirable.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Trade Certificate with a minimum Restricted Electrical Licence or 'A' Grade Electrical Licence.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills for equipment servicing.
• Experience in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on electromechanical plant.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of electrical plant and equipment at the branch.
• Carry out electrical calibrations on equipment.
• Repair equipment following trade practices to high standards.
• Undertake electrical fault finding and diagnostics as required.
• Keep customers notified and up to date on service requirements.
• Assist in maintaining correct levels of spare parts stock.

• Monday to Friday roster, 7am start

As an Electrician based at Coates Kingston you will be responsible for the servicing and repair of the electrical components of equipment, ensuring equipment at the branch is ready, fit, and safe for hire. Work alongside the mechanical team, ensuring our equipment is electrically ready for hire.

Your typical day will focus on:

• Service and maintenance of a wide range of electrical plant and equipment at the branch
  Carry out electrical calibrations on equipment as required
• Repair equipment as necessary following accepted trade practices maintaining a high standard
• Undertake electrical fault finding and diagnostics, rectify faults as required
• Keep customers notified and up to date in relation to their equipment service requirements
• Assist in maintaining correct levels of required electrical stocks of spare parts

What you’ll bring to the role

• Mechanical Trade Certificate with a minimum Restricted Electrical Licence or "A" Grade Electrical Licence with proven strong mechanical skill set
• Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance on access, materials handling, power generation, dewatering, earthmoving and other construction plant & equipment
