Job summary

Coates Hire Operations Pty Limited is seeking a Field Service Mechanic based at the Chinchilla branch, servicing the region. This permanent full-time role involves maintaining and repairing a range of hire equipment on customer sites.

You will need experience with petrol and diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems, plus an MR/HR licence. We offer training, flexible options, and employee discounts across services and products.

Qualifications

• Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical skills.
• MR or HR driver licence preferred.
• Forklift and EWP tickets beneficial.
• Strong diagnostics and preventative maintenance abilities.
• Effective time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and servicing of Coates hire equipment and machinery on customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of equipment on site.
• Ensure stock levels of spare parts are available to undertake repairs on site.
• Support field service operations with safety and quality standards.

Based out of our Chinchilla branchand servicing the region, Coates Field Service Mechanics take responsibility for repair of Coates hire equipment and machinery on customer sites. Duties include:

• Safe, effective and efficient preventative maintenance, service and overhaul as required.
• Deliver a level of trust and commitment to our customers that Coates is the right supplier for the project
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of equipment on site – work on large earthmoving, generators, lighting plants and boom lifts.
• Ensure stock levels of spare parts are available to undertake any repair on site.

What you’ll bring to the role

• Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills
