Job summary

Coates Erskine Park is looking for an Electrician to service and repair electrical components of our equipment, ensuring gear is ready for hire. You will work with the mechanical team to keep equipment electrically safe and compliant.

The role is permanent full-time with a 7am start, Monday–Friday, offering overtime penalties and clear career progression pathways. Candidates should hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate and an electrical licence with strong fault-finding abilities.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Trade Certificate with a valid electrical licence.
• Proven troubleshooting, diagnostics and preventive maintenance on electrical plant and equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills across a range of construction equipment.
• Forklift and EWP tickets are desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of electrical plant and equipment at the branch.

As an Electrician based at Coates Erskine Park you will be responsible for the servicing and repair of the electrical components of equipment, ensuring equipment at the branch is ready, fit, and safe for hire. Work alongside the mechanical team, ensuring our equipment is electrically ready for hire.

Your Typical Day Will Focus On

• Service and maintenance of a wide range of electrical plant and equipment at the branch Carry out electrical calibrations on equipment as required
• Repair equipment as necessary following accepted trade practices maintaining a high standard
• Undertake electrical fault finding and diagnostics, rectify faults as required
• Keep customers notified and up to date in relation to their equipment service requirements
• Assist in maintaining correct levels of required electrical stocks of spare parts

What You’ll Bring To The Role

• Mechanical Trade Certificate with a minimum Restricted Electrical Licence or “A” Grade Electrical Licence with proven strong mechanical skill set
• Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance on access, materials handling, power generation, dewatering, earthmoving and other construction plant & equipment
• Customer orientated approach
• Forklift and EWP ticket (desirable)
