Job summary

SCEE Electrical in Newcastle, NSW, is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical works on a large-scale BESS project. You will oversee field crews, ensure compliance with drawings, standards and schedules, and promote safe work practices.

The role requires at least 5 years' heavy construction supervision experience, NSW Electrical Licence, White Card and a valid driver's licence. Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

SCEE Electrical are looking for experienced Electrical Supervisors to join us on a large-scale BESS project based in Newcastle, NSW.

About the Role

SCEE Electrical are looking for experienced Electrical Supervisors to join our team in Newcastle working on a large scale BESS project. As an Electrical Supervisor with us you will be responsible for ensuring all electrical works for the project are carried out in accordance with drawings, scope of works, company standards and specifications, Australian Standards and to the project schedule.

In addition, some of your key tasks will include:

• Ensuring all personnel maintain safe systems of work.
• Planning activities in accordance with standards and to minimise inefficiencies.
• Direct and coordinate the workforce for electrical requirements of the contract.
• Understanding of risk management, quality assurance and control.
• Participate in safety investigations, reporting and discussions.

About You

To be successful in this position you will have at least 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Supervisor within the heavy construction and hold your NSW electrical licence. You will have well developed leadership skills as well as strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

• A strong understanding and awareness of Australian Standards, project implementation, constructability, WHS and environmental and community issues.
• A high level of commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
• Strong organisational skills and well-developed numeracy and analytical skills.
• Be able to read and interpret technical diagrams, drawings and specifications, prepare reports
• Be able to direct and coordinate a range of people to meet project objectives
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a high functioning team.
• You must hold a white Card and valid driver’s licence
