Job summary

BHP is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join the Carrapateena Expansion Project in South Australia. You will oversee high voltage electrical works, contractor supervision, and critical shutdowns to deliver safe, on‑time, quality outcomes in a brownfield mining environment.

Based at Carrapateena with FIFO from Adelaide, you will lead multi‑discipline teams, drive safety and compliance, and coordinate commissioning and handover with engineering, operations and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification and proven supervision of electrical construction.
• Experience with HV power systems and instrumentation.
• Strong safety leadership and contractor management.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety culture and zero-harm in field leadership.
• Supervise construction, installation, commissioning and modification activities.
• Coordinate multiple work fronts and provide clear direction to contractors.
• Identify construction risks and ensure critical controls are in place.
• Drive project delivery with high quality workmanship and site standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and maintenance for brownfield work.
• Support procedures, work instructions, and handover packages.
• Conduct field leadership interactions and safety observations.
• Monitor progress against safety, cost, schedule and quality targets.
• Mentor and develop personnel to achieve project outcomes.
