Job summary

BHP is seeking a Reliability Electrical Engineer for Carrapateena in South Australia. The role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable electrical assets and driving improvements within a collaborative Engineering and Maintenance team.

Based on a 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster, you will apply fault-finding and asset-management practices to optimise performance and reliability across fixed plant assets. A strong safety focus and experience with SAP/CMMS are valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by IEAust.
• Experience in operational electrical and instrumentation engineering in heavy industry or mining.
• Strong fault-finding and data analysis abilities.
• Knowledge of asset management principles and reliability improvement.
• Experience delivering brownfields projects and upgrades.
• Familiarity with CMMS/EAM/ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support reliability and performance of Carrapateena's fixed plant assets.
• Ensure designs and solutions are safe, reliable and fit-for-purpose.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Execution to improve outcomes.
• Identify and manage electrical asset risks with controls.
• Work with multiple engineering disciplines on integrated solutions.
• Develop and implement improvement initiatives for safety, cost, throughput and quality.
• Coordinate with external consultants and service providers as needed.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards and governance.
• Plan and prioritise engineering work efficiently.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities and prioritised changes.
• Drive improvements in processes, tools and team capability.
• Ensure improvements are implemented safely with financial stewardship.
