Job summary

Downer is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead HV substation and transmission projects on-site in Australia. You will manage subcontractors, coordinate outages and resources, review drawings, and drive safety, quality and on-time delivery across complex HV works.

You’ll work with experienced project teams, take ownership of outcomes, and benefit from a strong project pipeline and career progression into senior roles within Downer Energy & Utilities.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising HV substation, transmission or utility infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documentation.
• Strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV construction activities from mobilisation through to commissioning.
• Manage subcontractors and delivery teams to keep projects safe, productive and on schedule.
• Coordinate outages, resources, materials and site access requirements.
• Review drawings, scopes and construction packages before works commence.
• Support testing, commissioning and energisation activities.
• Solve issues in real time and keep projects moving forward.
• Work closely with clients, engineers and project stakeholders.
• Create a site culture built on safety, accountability and quality.
