Job summary

Anglo American is seeking a Shift Engineer (Electrical) for Grosvenor Mine in Moranbah, QLD. You will coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance, support shift safety, and help achieve mine plan targets with a focus on effective technical support and leadership of trades.

You will report to the Engineering Superintendent and drive improvements across maintenance activities, ensuring quality and safety while optimizing assets and performance.

Qualifications

• Valid QLD Electrical License is required.
• Supervisor qualifications (S1, S2, S3) and G2 are expected.
• Experience in mining maintenance roles, preferably coal or heavy industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading a team to meet targets.
• Track record in driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plan performance and lead trade supervisors to manage risks.
• Ensure quality of engineering services and fit-for-purpose equipment.
• Identify improvements to reduce operating costs.
• Monitor maintenance activities with short interval control (SIC).
• Issue work orders and review completed work and shift reports.
• Audit trades workmanship and completion of maintenance tasks.
• Respond to unplanned variance and breakdowns on shifts.
• Conduct preliminary RCAs on breakdowns.
