Anglo American is seeking an experienced Shift Engineer (Electrical) to support the Grosvenor Mine's engineering and maintenance team on-site in Moranbah, QLD. You will coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance, ensuring safety and production targets are delivered, with accountability for shift reports and supervision of trades.
You will lead a team, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement while supporting a range of on-site projects and technological initiatives.
Grosvenor Mine – an underground steelmaking coal mine produced its first longwall coal in May 2016 and is located in Moranbah, about 190 km south-west of Mackay.
We are building the team to deliver the next chapter of Grosvenor Mine. With a planned return to longwall production by Q4 2027, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to a major mine restart and help shape the future of underground mining.
Working alongside experienced professionals, you will play a role in implementing leading-edge technology, automation, monitoring systems and operational improvements that will define how the mine operates for years to come.
Grosvenor Mine is seeking an experienced Shift Engineer (electrical) to support the engineering and maintenance team on-site. Reporting into the Engineering Superintendent, you will primarily be involved in the coordination of planned and unplanned maintenance activities, to ensure shift safety and production targets are delivered.
You will be accountable to provide effective technical support, shift management, shift reporting, work quality management, escalation & response, and supervision of trades personnel to optimize our assets and deliver the mine plan. Your key responsibilities include:
