Astrum Recruitment is looking for an Electrical Service Manager to own a new electrical service division in Sydney. You will lead a small team of 2-4 electricians, manage key clients, and drive growth while staying hands-on as needed.

The role emphasizes autonomous work, hands-on delivery, and developing the division within a national contractor with strong healthcare and commercial project pipelines.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Electrical Licence is required.
• Strong electrical service experience is essential.
• Experience managing a small team of electricians is required.
• Commercial service experience across buildings, facilities, offices, healthcare or similar is necessary.
• Strong client management and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Existing industry contacts and a network of clients would be highly advantageous.
• Be comfortable working autonomously and self-driven.
• Full driver’s licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the new electrical service division.
• Portfolio of works across Western and greater Sydney.
• Manage a team of 2-4 electricians.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify new service opportunities and grow the client base.
• Oversee day-to-day service delivery.
• Be hands-on with electrical work when required as the division grows.
• Help develop and grow the division with the support of the wider business.

About The Role

Our client is looking to hire an Electrical Service Manager to take ownership of a new electrical service division. You’ll manage a small team of electricians while developing client relationships, winning new work and helping grow the division. The role will report directly to the electrical general manager and will suit someone who is comfortable being hands‑on and working autonomously.

About the Company

This National Electrical Contractor has been growing rapidly in NSW, with the size and scale of their projects almost doubling in the last 3 years. They are now expanding their electrical service division with a strong pipeline of commercial and healthcare work, including large‑scale projects across Sydney. With a broader business across electrical, mechanical and fire services, they are looking for someone to take ownership and help grow the division.

About You

• Current NSW Electrical Licence
• Strong electrical service experience
• Experience managing a small team of electricians
• Commercial service experience across buildings, facilities, offices, healthcare or similar
• Strong client management and relationship‑building skills
• Existing industry contacts and a network of clients would be highly advantageous
• Comfortable working autonomously
• Can‑do attitude and willing to be hands‑on when required
• Full drivers licence
