Qualifications

• Must hold a valid NSW Electrical Licence.
• Current Driver's Licence and White Card.
• Minimum 5 years post-trade experience in commercial settings.
• Proven fault-finding, diagnostic skills, and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and maintain commercial electrical systems and switchboards.
• Fault-finding and diagnosing issues on commercial installations.
• Manage metering upgrades, smart meter installations, and consumer mains upgrades.
• Perform RCBO upgrades and compliance rectification works.
• Contribute to commercial fit-outs and tenancy alterations.
• Lead lighting upgrades and power installations in occupied commercial buildings.
• Liaise with Ausgrid, metering providers, builders, strata managers, and facility managers.

Job description

Our client is a leading commercial electrical services company specialising in switchboard upgrades, metering solutions, and commercial maintenance. They're looking for an experienced Service Electrician who can work independently, manage jobs from start to finish, and deliver high-quality workmanship.

This is a hands-on role where you'll work across diverse commercial projects including maintenance, switchboard upgrades, metering installations, and compliance works. You'll be trusted to manage jobs unsupervised, liaise with clients, and take ownership of quality outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

Installing, upgrading, and maintaining commercial electrical systems and switchboards

Fault-finding and diagnosing issues on commercial installations

Managing metering upgrades, smart meter installations, and consumer mains upgrades

RCBO upgrades and compliance rectification works

Commercial fit-outs and tenancy alterations

Lighting upgrades and power installations in occupied commercial buildings

Liaising with Ausgrid, metering providers, builders, strata managers, and facility managers

What We’re Looking For

Valid NSW Electrical Licence (essential)

Current Driver's Licence

White Card

Minimum 5 years post-trade experience

Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Experience with commercial maintenance and reactive maintenance works

Switchboard, metering, and compliance work experience (highly valued)

Excellent communication and customer service skills
