Job summary

Seymour Whyte is seeking an Electrical Senior Project Engineer to lead electrical packages on a major water project in Western Sydney. You will oversee electrical works across wastewater treatment plants, water facilities, pump stations and related water infrastructure, delivering safely, on time and within budget.

You will mentor engineers, drive planning and programming, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractor relationships to achieve project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Electrical) or equivalent.
• Significant experience delivering civil infrastructure construction projects for state authorities.
• Experience as an Electrical Engineer on wastewater or water treatment plant projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and finance systems.
• Knowledge of quality procedures, WHS, environmental and HR/IR procedures.
• Ability to prepare SWMS and ITPs for all trades.
• Experience with contractual claims and variations.
• Knowledge of head and subcontract agreements.
• Ability to develop and manage budgets and forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and ensure HSEQ compliance.
• Coordinate resources, subcontractors and site activities to meet milestones.
• Provide leadership, technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and teams.
• Drive planning, scheduling and resource management to milestones.
• Manage procurement, subcontractors, costs and commercial outcomes.
• Ensure quality, contractual requirements are met throughout delivery.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
