Job summary

Seymour Whyte is seeking an Electrical Senior Project Engineer to lead electrical packages on a major water infrastructure project in Western Sydney. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate subcontractors, and drive safety, schedule and budget outcomes across wastewater treatment and water facilities.

You will mentor engineers, provide technical leadership, and contribute to successful delivery of complex water projects while ensuring compliance with project requirements and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Electrical) or its equivalent.
• Significant experience delivering civil infrastructure construction projects for State authorities.
• Previous experience working as an Electrical Engineer on a wastewater or water treatment plant project.
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Suite, Finance Systems, etc.).
• Working knowledge of Quality procedures, WHS, Environmental and HR/ IR procedures.
• Ability to produce Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and ITP’s for all trades.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare contractual claims and variations.
• Detailed knowledge of head and subcontract agreements.
• Ability to develop, implement and manage budgets and forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Lead a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSEQ, risk and project requirements.
• Manage project delivery, coordinating resources, subcontractors and site activities to achieve key project outcomes.
• Provide leadership, technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and project teams.
• Drive project planning, programming and resource management to meet project milestones.
• Manage procurement, subcontractors, commercial outcomes and project costs.
• Ensure quality, compliance and contractual requirements are met throughout delivery.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities to maximise project performance.
