Job summary

Seymour Whyte's Canberra Water team is delivering the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre Upgrade. We seek a Project Engineer (Electrical) to support complex electrical works across a major wastewater upgrade, collaborating with a JV and design partner.

Join a Tier 2 firm backed by VINCI, with growth and hands-on experience on significant infrastructure projects. You will coordinate construction activities, monitor performance, manage resources, and mentor junior staff while upholding

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Electrical) or equivalent.
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure construction projects for State authorities.
• Experience as an Electrical Engineer on a wastewater or water treatment plant project.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage construction activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specification.
• Monitor project performance, including programme, productivity, cost and revenue, and provide regular reporting to support project outcomes.
• Manage site resources, contractors and project teams, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the required standards.
• Support project planning, forecasting and resource allocation to drive successful project delivery.
• Review and interpret designs, identify construction improvements, and work closely with stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
• Coach, mentor and support engineers and site teams, contributing to their development and project success.
• Promote a strong safety culture by actively managing HSEQ requirements, identifying risks, and supporting continuous improvement across the project.
