You will negotiate with suppliers, manage day-to-day purchasing, and support subcontractor engagements, while aligning with project managers to ensure on-time material delivery. Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of electrical materials, equipment and components.
• Experience in electrical purchasing, procurement or contracts administration.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to maintain spreadsheets.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proactive, energetic attitude and ability to develop systems.
• Willingness to invest time to develop and expand the role.
• Strong work ethic and results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement of electrical materials and supplies.
• Obtain and negotiate quotations, especially large-volume purchases.
• Develop procurement systems to improve efficiency and controls.
• Coordinate supplier negotiations, agreements, and subcontractor engagement.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement, contract administration and letting of contracts.
• Maintain purchasing records, pricing schedules and reports.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement procedures.
