Job summary

Add Staff, Inc is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer for a respected Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering and Contracting firm in SE QLD. You will report to the Administration Manager and collaborate with the Construction Manager and Projects team to drive procurement efficiency.

Responsibilities include preparing requisitions, generating purchase orders, sourcing quotes, maintaining MYOB records, and developing procedures.

Qualifications

Experience in electrical wholesale management preferred.
Knowledge of electrical materials, products and subcontractors.
Experience coordinating day-to-day material ordering for sites.
Familiarity with subcontractor and supplier agreements.
Understanding of subcontractor payment schedules and approvals.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Timely and accurate preparation of purchase requisitions and processing of accounts receivables.
Generating purchase orders and correct coding to projects.
Maintaining relationships with industry wholesalers and suppliers.
Source quotes from suppliers, ensure purchases comply with company purchasing limits.
Creation of procedures and company manuals.
Maintain accurate records using MYOB and internal database systems.
Working closely with the administration team to ensure smooth operations of the office administrative functions.
