Job summary

Glencore Australia's Mount Isa Mines is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical and instrumentation projects across the smelting operations. You will own scopes from design through commissioning, collaborating with experienced engineers and operations teams, delivering safety-focused improvements and reliability gains.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with industrial experience.
• Experience delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects in industrial/mineral processing environments.

Responsibilities

• Scope, design, manage and deliver electrical projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Lead tendering, procurement and management of electrical contractors and subcontractors.
• Provide accurate project reporting, financial tracking and forecasting for decision making.
• Develop pre-emptive strategies to minimise downtime and maximise plant availability.
• Provide technical electrical support to operations and maintenance teams.
• Complete safety inspections, audits and field leadership activities.
• Ensure timely project close-out documentation and regular reporting.
