Job summary

South32, operator of the Cannington mine in northwest Queensland, seeks a Senior Project Lead Electrical to drive a major program from concept through handover. The role is a permanent position with a 4/3 roster, FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane, and a focus on safe, cost-effective, fit-for-purpose outcomes.

You will oversee large, concurrent project portfolios, bring strong EIC knowledge and remote delivery experience, and lead a high-performing team across lifecycle stages while maintaining

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• Experience leading brownfield resources projects.
• Ability to deliver complex projects from concept to handover.

Responsibilities

• Champion a safe culture aligned with company values and critical controls.
• Govern tollgate submissions, project changes and framework compliance.
• Control budgets, schedules, cash flow, risks and monthly program reports.
• Build stakeholder partnerships and support a high-performing project team.
