Job summary

Synchro Group is seeking a Project Engineer for an infrastructure project. This site-based role in Sydney reports to the Senior Project Manager and focuses on coordinating and planning activities to meet milestones.

Ideal candidate is an Electrical Engineer with HV experience, contractor-side background, and strong MS Word/Excel and project management software skills. You will liaise with external consultants and ensure safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• High Voltage experience
• Contractor-side experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of project management processes and procedures.
• Experience coordinating technical projects with external consultants or contractors.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong administrative skills including competency with MS Word, Excel

Responsibilities

• Manage the development phases of the construction project.
• Coordinate with external consultants who are responsible for the hands-on execution of the project.
• Track and report project progress, ensuring it aligns with timelines, budget, and quality standards.
• Assist in preparing project contracts, ensuring that all terms and conditions are clearly defined; whilst monitoring contractor and vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and timelines.
• Ensure the accurate completion of project deliverables and compliance with technical specifications.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management on milestones, risks, and potential challenges.
• Prepare, review, and ensure compliance of project documentation, including regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality assurance procedures.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Engineer will manage the overall coordination and planning of this infrastructure project, This is a site based role in Sydney which involves overseeing project progress and ensuring milestones are met. this would suit an Electrical Engineer with HV experience
