Job summary

MEC NT is seeking a hands-on Civil Supervisor to lead from the front, delivering subdivision projects, coordinating crews and resources, and ensuring pipe and conduit installations are completed safely and efficiently.

You will supervise electricians, apprentices and workshop staff, plan labour and materials, monitor quality and WHS compliance, and mentor junior team members. Immediate start, permanent full-time, with generous hourly rates and strong project pipeline across the NT.

Qualifications

• Current Electrical Licence (essential).
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Experience in Supervisor/Leading Hand/Foreman roles.
• Strong electrical trades background.
• Experience leading teams in workshop/production/construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electricians, apprentices, trade assistants and workshop personnel.
• Coordinate daily production activities to ensure projects are delivered safely and on schedule.
• Plan labour, equipment, materials and resources to maximise productivity.
• Monitor quality standards and ensure products are built to specification.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and quality control processes.
• Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, electrical standards and company procedures.
• Manage workshop workflow, priorities and production schedules.
• Liaise with Project Managers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor apprentices and develop capability within the team.
• Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and productivity.

About the Role:

What we're looking for:

Current Electrical Licence (essential)

Previous experience in a Supervisor, Leading Hand or Foreman role

Strong electrical trade background

Experience managing teams in a workshop, production or construction environment

Excellent planning, communication and leadership skills

Sound understanding of WHS and quality requirements

Ability to lead by example and build a positive team culture
