Job summary

MEC NT is hiring an Electrical Apprentice to learn from qualified electricians across commercial, industrial, residential and remote NT projects. You will gain hands-on experience while completing your trade qualification and building the skills for a successful electrical career.

You will work on major projects, join a supportive team, and receive weekly pay with career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Construction Induction (white card) required.
• OHS/WHS knowledge and safe work practices expected.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in remote environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians on real projects from day one.
• Develop practical electrical skills through hands-on experience.
• Work on commercial, industrial, residential and remote works.
• Read plans, install equipment and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Contribute to earning a nationally recognised trade qualification while paid.

Annual Placements

MEC NT have moved to an annual intake of Apprentices to align with the end of the school year, with successful candidates commencing in January

About the Role

As an Electrical Apprentice with MEC NT, you’ll work alongside qualified electricians across a variety of commercial, industrial, residential and remote projects throughout the Northern Territory. You’ll gain hands‑on experience while completing your trade qualification and developing the skills needed for a successful career in the electrical industry
