AustCorp Executive is seeking an Electrical Leading Hand to support delivery of electrical works across mining, industrial and infrastructure projects throughout Australia. The role combines hands-on electrical work with crew leadership, offering variety across sites and customers.

Based from Newcastle, Brisbane or Mackay with regular travel to project locations, you will coordinate electrical crews, manage installation, maintenance and commissioning activities, and uphold safety and quality

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate electricians and site personnel across project works.

• Coordinate site priorities to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Run pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site safety discussions.
• Ensure electrical work is completed in accordance with safety, quality and project requirements.
• Support and mentor tradespeople and apprentices.
• Troubleshoot technical and operational issues on site.
• Liaise with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, productivity and resource requirements.
• Maintain high standards across tools, vehicles, equipment and site presentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and project delivery.

Electrical Leading Hand - Industrial Projects

An established electrical project and engineering business is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Leading Hand to support the delivery of electrical works across mining, industrial and infrastructure projects throughout Australia.

This role would suit an experienced electrician who is comfortable leading a crew while remaining hands-on, and who enjoys the variety that comes with project-based work across different sites and customers.

You can based from NewcastleBrisbane or Mackay, with regular travel to project locations across Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia and other regional areas as required.

The Role Working closely with Project Managers and site teams, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of electrical crews and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and coordinating electricians and site personnel across project works
• Remaining hands-on with installation, maintenance and commissioning activities where required
• Planning daily work activities, labour requirements, materials and equipment
• Coordinating site priorities to ensure project milestones are achieved
• Running pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site safety discussions
• Ensuring electrical work is completed in accordance with safety, quality and project requirements

About You

We’re looking for someone who is technically strong, dependable and comfortable taking ownership on site.
Ideally, you will have:

• Australian Electrical Trade Qualification
• Current electrical licence
• Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Supervisor or senior site electrician
• Exposure to HV electrical systems or projects
• Experience working within mining, resources, heavy industrial or similar project environments
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and site-based risk management
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Confidence leading crews and allocating daily work
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and project stakeholders
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Willingness to travel regularly and work away from home when projects require

Experience across mining infrastructure, power distribution, switchgear, substations, underground electrical systems, commissioning or project installations would be highly regarded.
