Job summary

JobsTrackR is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager in Mackay, QLD to lead electrical projects from planning through to execution, commissioning and close-out. You will work with clients, site teams, contractors, suppliers and internal engineering and workshop teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

The role requires a strong technical foundation in electrical installation and engineering, with the ability to interpret drawings and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering electrical projects in mining, infrastructure or heavy industrial environments.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and standards.
• Experience managing project budgets, cost control and commercial outcomes.
• Trade qualification or degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong PM capabilities across scheduling, risk, documentation and stakeholder management.

Join a growing engineering and industrial services business delivering complex electrical and mechanical projects across mining, infrastructure and heavy industry.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take ownership of projects from initial planning through to execution, commissioning and close-out. You’ll work closely with clients, site teams, contractors, suppliers and internal engineering and workshop teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The Role

As Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading electrical projects across mining, infrastructure and heavy industrial environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing electrical projects from planning through to completion and close-out


• Developing project scopes, schedules, budgets and delivery plans


• Coordinating electrical design and engineering activities


• Managing contractors, suppliers and internal resources

About You

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong experience delivering electrical projects within mining, infrastructure or heavy industrial environments


• A strong technical foundation across electrical installation and engineering


• The ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and relevant standards


• Experience managing project budgets, cost control and commercial outcomes


• A relevant electrical trade qualification or degree in Electrical Engineering


• Strong project management capability across scheduling, risk, documentation and stakeholder management


• Experience managing contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams


• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety and quality systems


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships


• The ability to work effectively in changing site and project environments
