Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer - High Voltage (Starlink) to lead HV power supply design from concept to production. You will work across RF, mechanical, and systems teams to deliver robust converters that operate in harsh ground and space environments.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, rapid iteration, and collaboration to push Starlink capabilities forward and enable global internet access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field.
• 1+ years in power converter development or equivalent experience.
• Experience with magnetics, transformers, and inductors design.
• Experience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware from conceptual design through production and ground operations.
• Provide expertise in designing, analyzing, and testing DC-DC converters for harsh environments.
• Design power supplies supporting tens of kilovolts and hundreds of watts.
• Lead verification testing and analysis for electrical power systems.
• Collaborate with RF, mechanical, and systems teams across engineering disciplines.
• Iterate designs quickly to inform system-level decisions.
