Job summary

Australian Power Solutions Engineering (APS Engineering) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to deliver protection, control, and instrumentation solutions across power utility, oil & gas, mining and related industries. You will develop protection settings, prepare reports, assist with commissioning, and support SCADA, DCS and PLC systems, ensuring high reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electronics.
2–10 years of relevant industry experience.
Hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

Development of protection settings for generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
Preparation of protection settings reports and ITPs.
Support secondary designers with protection circuitry design for substations.
Develop protection studies, test reports, and disturbance records.
Provide SCADA, DCS and PLC system design and support.
Lead maintenance programs for protection, control and instrumentation assets.
Forward capital and operational projects from feasibility to commissioning.
Assist with root cause analysis investigations into equipment failures.
Support onsite teams and remote technicians during start-up and commissioning.
