RecruitR Pty is seeking up to two Electrical Design Drafters to join our Brisbane or Gold Coast offices, with one day per week of work-from-home on offer. You’ll turn electrical infrastructure design into accurate, coordinated documentation and 3D models, collaborating closely with engineers on major hospital infrastructure projects in Queensland.

Our client is delivering five major hospital projects across Queensland and needs up to two Electrical Design Drafters, across its Brisbane and Gold Coast offices, to help bring them to life.
If electrical infrastructure is your thing (switchboards, cable tray, containment, and getting the model right), this is where those skills count most.
Once this wave of healthcare investment across Queensland is complete, it will likely be many years before projects of this scale come around again. For the right electrical designer, it’s a rare window to build serious infrastructure hospital experience.
You’ll be the person turning electrical infrastructure design into accurate, coordinated documentation and 3D models, working closely with the engineers.
As well as the hospitals, the team works across:
This is one of the largest electrical teams in Brisbane, but it doesn’t feel like it.
Instead of one big hierarchy, the electrical team runs as three smaller groups of Associates, Seniors, Intermediates and Graduates. You’ll work hand in hand with experienced engineers who value good drafting and modelling, and you’ll have the wider electrical group behind you.
There are two roles: one in Brisbane and one on the Gold Coast. Both are for people based locally.
The Gold Coast office is part of the firm’s push into Queensland’s coastal markets, so you’d be in on the ground floor of a growing team, with the backing of an established Brisbane practice.
The leadership team are experienced engineers who are still hands-on and approachable.
Flexibility is simple and practical. One day a week from home is standard, and anything beyond that is just a conversation.
Most of the team still choose to be in the office, because the collaboration is genuinely good.
Plenty of firms from Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand are only now setting up in Brisbane. This business already has a strong local presence, an expanding pipeline, and a clear plan for growth across Queensland. That means room to grow with it.
If you’ve been looking at roles such as Electrical Design Drafter, Electrical Drafter, Revit Electrical Modeller, Electrical Designer or Building Services Drafter, this could be your next step.
