Job summary

Capstone Recruitment in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team and lead building services electrical design with autonomy across a varied portfolio. You will work closely with senior engineers and business leaders who back new ideas and invest in your growth.

You will deliver high-quality electrical design across projects, mentor juniors, and contribute to client engagements, bids, and project delivery while advancing your leadership and technical depth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in electrical engineering, ideally in building services design.
• Australian-recognised engineering degree or relevant background.
• Registration/licensing such as CPEng, NER, RPEQ or QBCC Designer Licence.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, regulations and the National Construction Code.
• Proficiency in Revit and CAD.
• Sound engineering judgement and strong problem-solving skills.
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication.
• Experience across diverse project types and ability to independently manage your discipline scope.
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and professional standards.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and building a well-rounded consulting skill set.
• Australian citizenship (preferred) or permanent residency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical services design to a high technical standard across a range of sectors and project types.
• Manage your discipline scope through the full design lifecycle, from concept through to construction and practical completion.
• Lead and coordinate design teams, and supervise junior and graduate engineers.
• Carry out QA reviews of electrical deliverables in line with QA policy.
• Provide design certification and sign-off, including Form 15.
• Work directly with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Prepare fee proposals and contribute to project bids.
• Attend site inspections and project meetings, and prepare or review reports and technical documentation.
• Represent the business at industry events.

What you will be doing

About you
