Job summary

Porta Products Oberon is seeking an Electrical Coordinator to lead maintenance and electrical shutdown projects in our Oberon NSW facility. You will supervise staff and contractors, coordinate planned and breakdown maintenance, and drive improvements in plant availability and efficiency.

The role requires electrical trade or engineering qualifications, 3+ years supervisory experience, and solid PLC knowledge. You will mentor apprentices and ensure safety and quality across shifts.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade or engineering qualifications required.
• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience.
• Experience with continuous production processes and downtime reduction.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and technologies.
• Ability to schedule work and manage contractors for electrical shut and project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees and contractors to maintain schedules, safety, quality, efficiency, and housekeeping.
• Oversee maintenance activities to ensure swift corrective actions and preventive maintenance.
• Analyze downtime and maintenance reports to improve plant availability.
• Coach and develop apprentices and ensure practical training requirements are met.
• Ensure adherence to WHS, environmental and HR policies and safe practices.
