McCain Foods is seeking an experienced Electrical Control Technician to join the Smithton maintenance team. You will diagnose faults, program PLCs, and support plant improvements in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with maintenance and production to optimise electrical systems, ensure safety compliance, and mentor apprentices. A Class license and trade certification are required, with exposure to Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, Siemens, and Omron systems a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold current A Class Electrical License.
• Electrical Trade Certificate.
• Experience in continuous process manufacturing.

Aufgaben

• Program and maintain PLCs, SCADA, and communication systems.
• Oversee site-wide electrical systems for compliance with local standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve efficiency.
• Use CMMS to track and plan maintenance activities.
• Identify, source, and procure electrical and control equipment.
• Design and implement plant improvements to boost productivity.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults in electrical/control systems.
• Test, install, and calibrate transducers and actuators.
• Install and configure variable frequency and servo drives.
• Support training and development of Electricians and Apprentices.
