Job summary

I2R Group, based in Brisbane, is seeking an Automation Technician to deliver industrial automation and electrical control solutions for leading food, beverage, agribusiness and water projects.

You will work on Rockwell, Siemens, and Codesys PLCs, develop Ignition or Citect SCADA, and travel nationally for on-site commissioning.

This role requires strong PLC skills, good communication, and a commitment to safe working practices.

Qualifications

Demonstrated PLC programming, commissioning and fault finding.
Familiarity with Ignition or willingness to learn.
Strong understanding of industrial control systems and SCADA platforms.
Familiarity with Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus.
Excellent computer literacy and technical aptitude.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to safe work practices and professional conduct.
Effective time management and adaptability.

Responsibilities

Deliver automation solutions across full project lifecycle—design, programming, commissioning and handover.
Work on control systems including Rockwell, Siemens and Codesys PLCs.
Develop and commission SCADA systems, including Ignition and Citect SCADA.
Troubleshoot and resolve control system faults across industries.
Collaborate with clients and colleagues to deliver high-quality automation solutions.
Travel nationally to support on-site commissioning as required.
