Job summary

Kogan People Solutions in Hallam, VIC is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to maintain and improve high-voltage electrical systems, automated production lines, and PLC environments in a food manufacturing setting. You will diagnose faults, test equipment, and optimise electrical safety and efficiency on site.

The role requires a Diploma in a relevant discipline, PLC diagnostics experience, and a strong understanding of sensors, VFDs, and relay logic, with HACCP/GMP experience

Qualifications

Diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent
Proven PLC diagnostics and motor control experience
Strong knowledge of sensors, VFDs, pneumatics, and relay logic
Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings
Minimum three years in HACCP/GMP regulated environments

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on motors, VFDs, heaters, and boilers.
Inspect panels, distribution boards, transformers, relays, and wiring.
Troubleshoot PLC I/O, SCADA interfaces, sensors, and packaging machinery.
Calibrate instrumentation and flow meters to ensure product quality.
Support wiring, testing, and commissioning on capital projects.
Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000 and OHS standards in food zones
