Job summary

AKD Softwoods in Australia is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Engineer to drive tactical improvement projects through PLC optimization, de-bottlenecking processes and delivering maximum returns through advanced technology.

You will deliver and maintain Electrical Control Systems, act as SME for the electrical department, and provide technical support to asset management, operations and maintenance while leading investigations with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, maintenance or process-improvement expertise.
• Experience in electrical systems and PLC environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain fit-for-purpose Electrical Control Systems and Infrastructure.
• Act as subject matter expert for the electrical department.
• Provide technical support to asset management, operations, and maintenance teams.
• Critically analyse manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure an ongoing focus on lifecycle costs, process efficiency, and innovation.
• Lead RCA investigations with operations personnel.
• Coach team members to increase overall capability.
