Job summary

James Hardie Industries seeks an PCI Electrical Engineer to enhance safety, reliability and performance at the Rosehill Manufacturing Plant through design, implementation and optimisation of electrical, automation, PLC, SCADA and control systems.

You will drive reliability and continuous improvement initiatives, manage capital projects from concept through commissioning, and collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Reliability and Engineering teams to improve plant performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic/automation engineering.
3+ years in a similar Electrical/Automation role in manufacturing.
Experience delivering automation projects from concept to commissioning.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000.
SCADA experience, Plant SCADA preferred.
Knowledge of VSDs, motor control and power distribution.
Experience with Schneider Electric PLCs/EcoStruxure advantageous.
Strong Excel and Project skills required.
Knowledge of Australian Standards and WHS legislation.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead design, implementation and ongoing improvement of electrical/automation systems for safe, reliable operations.
Develop and optimise PLC/SCADA/HMI and control systems to improve performance.
Deliver capital projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
Create testing, validation and commissioning plans for new/modified systems.
Oversee control system upgrades and safety interlocks and protections.
Design and optimise industrial networks for reliable data flow.
Monitor performance and implement improvements to safety, reliability and throughput.
Lead root-cause investigations and reliability initiatives.
Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Reliability and Engineering teams.
