Electrical Construction Manager — HV | Renewables | BESS

• Location: NSW (project/site based — works across NSW, QLD & VIC)
• Pay: $180,000+ package + vehicle/allowances — commensurate with experience

We take projects from engineering and design through procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning — all the way to full EPC delivery — across Renewable Energy, Utilities, Transmission & Distribution, Mining, Resources & Industrial, Data Centres and Critical Infrastructure.

As our project pipeline grows, we're looking for an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead the safe, on-time and on-budget delivery of our HV and electrical construction works across solar, wind and BESS projects.

The Role

Reporting to senior management, you'll take ownership of electrical construction delivery on site — leading crews, subcontractors and site supervisors, driving safety and quality, and keeping projects tracking to program and budget. You'll be the link between our engineering/design team and the field, making sure what's on the drawings gets built right.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical construction delivery across HV, solar, wind and BESS projects
• Own site safety leadership — set the standard, drive a zero-harm culture, and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and RESA Group systems
• Plan, sequence and manage construction programs, resources, plant and materials to hit milestones
• Manage site teams, subcontractors and labour — allocation, performance and coordination
• Oversee HV and electrical installation, cable works, terminations, switchgear and connection works to standard
• Coordinate with the engineering, design and commissioning teams through to energisation and handover
• Drive quality assurance, ITP compliance and inspection/test hold points
• Manage site budgets, progress claims, variations and reporting
• Liaise with clients, network operators and stakeholders on site delivery
• Support testing and commissioning activities through to practical completion

About You

• Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager, Site/Project Manager or Construction Supervisor on HV electrical, solar, wind or BESS projects
• Strong high-voltage background — HV installation, switchgear, cabling, terminations and connection/energisation works
• Electrical trade background and/or electrical engineering qualification
• Solid understanding of Australian Standards, WHS legislation and utility/network requirements
• Demonstrated leadership of site crews and subcontractors on complex electrical construction
• Excellent program, budget and stakeholder management skills
• Strong safety and quality focus with the ability to lead by example
• Willingness to travel and work on project sites across NSW, QLD & VIC
• HV switching / access authority tickets
• Experience on grid-scale renewables (utility solar farms, wind farms, grid-scale BESS)
• Working knowledge of testing & commissioning processes
