Responsibilities

• Oversee daily farm operations including feeding, health monitoring and egg collection.
• Supervise and train farm staff; ensure safety and biosecurity compliance.
• Monitor egg production, quality and inventory levels.
• Ensure hens welfare through housing, feeding and healthcare practices.
• Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and facilities for safety and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production, inventory and incident records.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and animal welfare standards.
• Coordinate team shifts and, on high risk days, ensure birds are cooled and systems operate smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and assist with daily farm operations, including feeding, health monitoring and egg collection
• Manage, supervise and train farm staff, ensuring adherence to safety and biosecurity protocols and best practices
• Monitor egg production, quality, and inventory levels
• Ensure the well‑being of our hens by implementing proper housing, feeding, and healthcare practices
• Oversee and assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
• Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, incidents or issues
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including health and safety, environmental, and animal welfare standards
• Coordinate your team's shifts and on high risk days ensure the birds are kept cool and all systems are working well

About you

• Previous experience in egg or poultry farming is preferred with strong knowledge of poultry health
• Experience with an aviary system will be highly regarded
• Strong leadership, organisational and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures
