Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare is seeking Casual Pool Educators to support Cleveland and Capalaba Long Day Care and Kindy services. Roles cover lunch breaks, staff absences and other operational needs, with shifts typically 9:30am–2:00pm on weekdays and extra hours in OSHC.

Ideal for flexible, motivated early childhood professionals returning to the sector. You’ll help ensure high-quality care and learning across services, while enjoying varied, supportive teamwork.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
• Studying towards Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Experience in Long Day Care or Kindergarten is highly regarded.
• Queensland Blue Card and safety certifications required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support educators across Long Day Care and Kindergarten environments.
• Provide float and lunch-break coverage to ensure smooth daily operations.

Join Catholic Early EdCare as a Casual Pool Educator supporting our Cleveland and Capalaba Long Day Care and Kindy services.

In this flexible and rewarding role, you'll provide valuable support to our teams by covering lunch breaks, staff absences and other operational needs, helping ensure children continue to receive high-quality care and education.

Shifts are typically between 9:30am and 2:00pm on weekdays, with opportunities to pick up additional hours in our OSHC services. Ideal for someone who enjoys variety, flexibility and making a positive difference in children's lives.

What Your Day Could Look Like:

• Supporting educators across our Long Day Care and Kindergarten environments
• Providing float support and covering lunch breaks to ensure smooth daily operations
• Helping maintain safe, engaging and inclusive learning environments
• Building positive relationships with children, families and fellow educators
• Assisting with daily routines, activities and learning experiences
• Working across our Cleveland and Capalaba services as needed
• Bringing your enthusiasm, flexibility and experience to support each service's team

What You'll Need:

• We would ideally love to hear from candidates who have completed a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• We also welcome applications from candidates who are currently studying towards their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, particularly those with previous experience working with children.
• Experience in an LDC or Kindergarten setting will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role, you'll also need:

• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing
• Good weekday availability and a willingness to work across Cleveland and Capalaba
• A current driver's licence and your own reliable transport, as travel between services is required
• A current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications, or a willingness to obtain them
• Completion of mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Foundation Course 1 and 2
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams
• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach to work
